commercial grade investment casting

This is a new process to the UK and offers distinct advantages over premium grade investment castings and sand castings, the advantages are:

Cast material

  • Grey iron
  • Ductile iron
  • SG Iron
  • High Chrome Iron
  • White irons
  • Carbon Alloy Steels
  • Process capabilities
    • Cast surface roughness for example 0.2% Carbon steel 12.5-25.4RA
    • Minimum and maximum weight limitations From 10g to 100kg
    • Minimum and maximum size limitations .100mm – 1000mm
    • Draft angles required per process +/-1-3 degrees

  • Machine capacity – 125 – 800 tons
  • Batch sizes is dependant on casting size, minimum is 3000 pieces, but typically the batch sizes are 5000 upwards

  • Zinc alloys 4 - 6
  • Copper 6 - 8
